Tots get an expert lesson on how to recycle by Petra Barnby TODDLERS from a nursery were taught about recycling by an expert.

Laura Horton, founder of Wrexham based eco-business Help Save Our Planet – Recycle, put across the message of environmental responsibility to the little ones at Cherry Hill Nursery, Borras Park, using games.

She said: "Recycling education plays an essential part in our future. Recycling will become a way of life for all."

Nursery manager Lisa Holland said: "She approached the subject at their level. We have gone big into recycling into Cherry Hill. We can put the message across to lots of parents through the children. Recycling is the way of our children's future. Waste is a big issue now, but also we need to start living in an environmentally friendly way."

Cherry Hill Nursery recycles its waste, composts, uses energy-saving light bulbs, environmentally-friendly cleaning products, recycled paper and toilet paper, recycled waste in craft activities, and has just created an eco-friendly display board to put up new eco-ideas.
